Neutron Imaging

Neutron imaging has numerous scientific and industrial applications. The activities have been focused on development of neutron tomography, quantitative imaging techniques, dynamic imaging and on detector technology, and many practical applications have been realized.

Some exiting topics in different fields demonstrate the powerful tool of neutron imaging:

• Archaeology : View into a 2000 year old Roman God.
• Adhesives: How modern car doors are glued together.
• Construction engineering: Time resolved water uptake in wood.
• Motor industry: Have a look inside a running motor!
• Nuclear technology: See the different U-235 enrichment in fuel rod of a nuclear power plant.
• Soil physics/botany: Do you want to see how roots grow in the darkness of the soil?
• More?: Visit the gallery!

Are you interested? Do you think your questions can probably be answered with the help of non-destructive imaging methods?

Do not hesitate to contact us by email or phone or fill out our proposal form. Accepted research projects are cost free. A financial support based on a well-founded application may be granted. For industrial customers which need proprietary examination results, we provide the service at cost price.
